Class Creations
Here’s a bit of the work I’ve created during my 4 years at James Madison University. I’ve been lucky enough to be exposed to a diversity of knowledge, skills, and assignments during my classes - more than I could fit on this one page. I’ve definitely grown and changed as a creative & learner too - something I hope to keep doing!
Integrated Marketing & Communications
One of my favorite classes I’ve taken as a Marketing student has been my Integrated Marketing & Communications class. In this class we were assigned to create a unified plan for Mulligan’s Golf Center, a local business looking to revamp brand and marketing efforts. My agency of 6 students, called Simple Connections, conducted industry & consumer research to put together a guide for the golf center. This spanned from competitive reviews, buyer analyses, brand guides, media plans & budgeting, and specific campaign ideas. You can check out the executive summary I put together on pages 4 & 5 for a general overview of plans.
I thoroughly enjoyed having a course where we were learning by doing. I learned not only the components of communications and marketing plans but how to work in a group and understand a business’ goals. Finding out who a business is and how to most effectively and authentically connect it to the audience’s that would love it is something I have become pretty passionate about.
This is a mock up commercial I created for our Golf & Gather campaign targeted to local college students. I created it using WeVideo and stock film.
Below, you can find some deliverables I created for our media plans. I created most of these using Canva.

Adobe Creative Tools
During my Fall 2023 semester, I took an Adobe Creative Tools class where I learned how to create and edit in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I am also certified in all three now! Throughout the semester we worked on projects for local businesses, our own brands, and JMU groups. I loved being able to partner with actual businesses and nonprofits to find new ways of representing them to reach the people that need them/they need right back. I love all of these tools (especially Illustrator) and am still developing my skills in using them - more projects utilizing them for fun to come!

Business to Business Marketing

During my business to business marketing class, I was able to learn about different approaches to implementing & analyzing content marketing utilizing my own LinkedIn (I am a business in this case). I learned about LeadGen & account based marketing strategies, lead scoring, A/B testing, targeted content deployment, and other basics of B2B. I really enjoyed discovering the side of marketing that utilizes deploying content that people are already looking for - matchmaking an entity to a business by providing them with quality information or answers that they need. I also found that I quite enjoyed the lead tracking, scoring, and further strategizing elements of content marketing more than I had expected as a person who is usually on a creation side.
Integrative Business (COB 300)

The integrative business class at JMU’s College of Business, COB 300, is a centralized four-course program that highlights marketing, finance, operations, and management. I was placed in group of six other business majors and we were tasked to conceptualize a business and product, create all financial & operational proposals, and strategize marketing efforts. I had such a great time in this class - I had a great group that made the daunting business plan something conquerable. This was certainly a learn by doing course, something that I appreciate about most opportunities in the College of Business. I discovered how to be more adaptable, do quality research, and rely on a team rather than going for it alone.
